RONDEL HOLDER

Not every kid from Brooklyn lives a hard knock life. Instead of promoting the all too familiar tale of drugs, gangs and poverty, Rondel Holder shares a story of a cultured kid turned Renaissance Man who lives to cut the clutter and fulfill his natural talent.
Born into a Caribbean family, Rondel was surrounded by the arts from an early age. His father produced reggae beats and his mother sang gospel music. Naturally, Rondel developed a deep appreciation for music, particularly artists like Bob Marley, Boyz II Men, Aaliyah, Anita Baker and Luther Vandross. In junior high, he joined the chorus and began working on singing and songwriting. “I always preferred to be my atypical self than front like I’m something I’m not in order to be accepted. I decided early on that I was going to do whatever came naturally and I turned out to be a realer man than those who allowed themselves to be forced into a box.”
While performing in reggae dance groups and taking private vocal lessons as a student at Temple University, Rondel also met many of his business associates and partners in music and entertainment. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management.
Even with stellar grades, breaking into the entertainment industry was no easy feat. Following an internship at VP Records and a number of legal hustles, Rondel finally landed his first full time job at AllHipHop.com as Sales and Marketing Assistant. Since then, he has stamped his name in the world of music and urban media, providing marketing services for companies such as Atlantic Records, Sony BMG, Def Jam, XXL Magazine and Avenue Report Magazine, as well as artists like Diddy, Wyclef, Alicia Keys, Crime Mobb, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, T.I., G-Unit and countless others.
In June 2009 Rondel launched Vitalize Entertainment, a talent development company and entertainment marketing agency with one sole purpose – to breathe life back into the flat-lining entertainment industry. In 2010 Vitalize Entertainment will be releasing projects from a roster of musicians, actors, dancers, writers and visual artists.
Still residing in Brooklyn, Rondel continues to support organizations that enlighten, enrich and create a progressive movement among urban and Black communities. With Vitalize Entertainment, he’s primed to take the entertainment world by storm. “I love life! I’m grateful for my talents and the drive I possess to put them to use on a large scale. I want to be the face of hope for kids like me who didn’t grow up rich, to know that hard work really does pay off. I’m grateful for all of you who are or will be part of this movement of great entertainment – But there’s no movement unless it is heard, so spread the word. Vitalize!”
